Shea Butter
Shea butter is a fat extracted from the nuts of the Shea tree native to West Africa.
Benefits:
- Safe for all skin types – unlike most tree nut products, it is very low on the proteins that can trigger nut allergies
- Extremely moisturizing – contains linoleic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids that are very easily absorbed in the skin, restoring lipids and moisture without clogging pores and making the skin oily
- Has anti-inflammatory properties – topically, shea targets inflammatory cells to slow their production, hence helping minimize irritation from environmental factors such as dry weather, calm skin conditions like eczema, and even soothe muscle soreness and stiffness
- An antioxidant – provides skin protection against free radicals that can lead to premature aging and dullness due to significant levels of Vitamin A and E, which stimulates strong antioxidant activity
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is a fat harnessed from Cocoa beans.
Benefits:
- Skin health booster – cocoa contains antioxidants that help prevent sun damage and reduce inflammation
- Hydrates dry skin – like shea butter, cocoa butter is mostly made up of fatty acids that help create a protective layer on the skin to prevent drying

Coconut oil is the oil derived from the meat of mature coconuts.

Fragrance Oils
Fragrance oils are used to add a mild, pleasant scent to Butter’d Body Butter. These oils, used individually, are Cocoa, Mango, Lavender, and Magnolia. Fragrance oils contains no alcohol or harsh chemicals.
